Consider this the official Team GFR 2009 thread.

Preliminary dates are Sunday, May 17 thru Sunday, May 24. Of course, everyone is welcome, and you can show up at the cabin whenever you like. I plan to be there for the above dates.

Just like last year, kindly bring some water with you. And leave your ailments and ills at home.

My plan as of December 22, 2008

Wake up butt ass early Tuesday, May 19

Drive from Charlotte to State College in time to fish the hatch Tuesday evening

Drink beers Tuesday night.

Stay until Saturday, unless I can convince Shaun to stay until Sunday... I don't have to go back to work until Tuesday.

X

Meat's most likely attendance plan: Arrive late Saturday night or early Sunday morning, Revive, be back in the LV no later than 4PM Thursday. Be advised.

Outstanding.
I think the plan is for Smokes and I to arrive sometime Sunday afternoon/evening. Not sure if we'll stop and fish on the way; probably, but still likely to be determined.
The long term forecast looks like it might be much like last year, with cool and dreary-ish days (and mid-afternoon sulphur hatches). It might hamper the turkey hunting a bit, but it makes for good fishing. All the rain we're getting now plus the two inches forecast for central PA over the next week should only help.

If you are heading up next week you can stop by and I can give you some water for the cabin. Space will be pretty limited in the Rav. If you want to go with that plan let me know if you want cases of water or the 5 gallon jugs.

To all parties involved: I'm bringing my bike. One of the things I'd really like to do that we always talk about is hit up Slate Run or Cedar Run. I realize accessing these waters via bicycle would most likely be to the exclusion of others, but we'll see what happens... Just be advised.
