The Mission...
Go to Montour County in the morning sometime in late April or very early May, attain Montour, then leave that land and relocate to the land of Luzerne, Schuylkill, or Columbia on the way back to the Lehigh Valley/SE PA.
The Schedule...
This operation would preferably occur on a weekday to avoid otherwise probable baiter interference. However, a Sunday may also be preferrential if that's what works.
The Objectives...
Attain Montour.
Leave Montour and never fish again in that untrouty place.
Fish somewhere cool in Luzerne, Schuylkill or Columbia.
Return home safe and fulfilled.
Background...
Montour is a small, untrouty county where there are few trout in fewer places. The highest success, and perhaps the only viable opportunity for successful attainment, lies with an interaction timed to coincide with the annual placement of hatchery trout in the three stocked streams within the county. Because of the lack of fishing opportunity, and the short-lived nature of these hatchery trout (Roaring Creek gets low and very warm by June, I've been there), the weekends around stocking time are likely chock-full of baiters and other fucker-folk (a new term I intend to use often in the future). A second, less than optimal scenario entails interacting with one of these three unhappy streams during the early summer; however such action would need to occur at the earliest of dawn or the latest of dusk to have any chance of productivity. There's gotta be some holdovers and whatnot.
Please reply to this thread in a fashion that reveals your interest, or lack thereof, in execution of this operation, which will remain nameless until such time as we decide it will happen, and someone thinks of a cool name.
