Attainment Maps update

Postby Megastar on Tue Sep 11, 2007 5:31 pm

Team,

'Tis the season for updating attainment maps. Send me a list of new counties attained, and I will make the changes and submit to Meat for posting.

Meat, I see the maps now read "As of August 2007" If so, mine is inaccurate, as Northumberland has been attained. Is yours accurate?

Mine is accurate and up to date. I think I updated mine when I attained Susky and then Franklin, and then changed the titles on both of ours for the sake of consistency. That's why the font is different.

Please feel free to update yours and beer me it this way. If you just want me to do it that's cool.

You can do it. Riddle me Northumberland.

How do you manage to update them without ARC-View GIS? I guess you could edit them in MS Paint and fill a color inside each county boundary. Hmmm.....

Did I guess right?

MS Paint? Nucka it's 2007 - Photoshop! I can stained glass filter your Attainment Map, invert the colors, and give it a ripple distortion, then bevel and emboss the text and give it a drop shadow with an inner glow...

Make a bio for Chad.

I went ahead and made nifty new Attainment maps. Yours, Megastar, is not poop-sandwich colored.

Cool, where are they located? I couldn't find them, like, anywhere.

On the Attainment page, under the Rules of Attainment scroll icon, under where it says, "Attainment Maps". Also, you can now make your avatar here 150x150.

Yeah that's weird.
When I look at that page, it only scrolls down far enough so that the "Rules of Attainment" scroll (which is pretty sweet, by the way) is at the very bottom of the page. It's as if the page ends there. I can't see anything below that. Not the "Attainment Maps" link, not the link in the left margin reading "Contact us at thegfrteam@gmail.com". None of it.

It is weird. The page on my computer at work is like Shaun said but, here at home I can see the whole page. Maps are cool by the way.

Yeah it depends on the browser... Actually, it's because Microsoft thinks they can do whatever they want, and other browsers follow strict guidelines regarding how web pages are interpreted. I changed some stuff - let me know if it changes for you.
